With the media circulating the same old dull, depressing stories about the struggles of everyday life, we think it's fair to say that we could all do without the extra mental strain.
Being an adult is difficult enough with everything going on around us, so having a clearer mindset is one step in the right direction to positivity and improved optimism.
For those of you who struggle with regular sinus and headache troubles, we want to lend out a helping hand in the form of herbal remedies to help you win the battle.
So, without further ado here's how Chinese herbal remedies may assist with sinus and headache issues...
What causes sinus pains and headaches?
Sinuses are spaces within your forehead, nose bridge or cheekbones which are filled with air.
When inflamed due to an infection or allergic reaction, they swell up causing a mass production of mucus which ends up with your channels getting blocked.
With this build up of pressure on your sinuses, this can cause chronic pain which can feel like a headache or bad migraine.
What are some common symptoms?
If the pain is persistent in your nose bridge, cheekbones or forehead this may signal the start of sinus blockage.
Some individuals experience prolonged pain when tilting their head suddenly or to one side for a lengthy period of time.
Other symptoms of sinus and deep headaches are:
- Runny nose
- Ears feeling 'full'
- Fever-like symptoms
- Swelling in the face
- Heavy headedness with a lack of concentration
What are the potential solutions?
Utilising Chinese herbal remedies is a fantastic and sustainable way to naturally ease sinuses, headaches and painful migraines.

Our daily recommended dosage of Chinese herbal supplements is 6 tablets*, with the exception of Gui Zhi Tang which is 4 tablets.
The traditional way of taking these tablets is twice a day (morning and evening).
For best results, we recommend taking these with breakfast in the morning, and just before bed in the evening.
*We always recommend contacting a consultant prior to starting supplementation, as they will be able to give tailored advice on your personal recommended daily dosage.
How long does each formula last for?
Each bottle of Aura contains 60 tablets. Following the recommended daily intake, this will last 10 days when consuming 6 tablets per day to assist your wellbeing goals.
If you have been advised to take a lower dosage by your Chinese medical practitioner, these formulas may last up to 2 weeks.
What's the concentration ratio in these supplements?
Each herbal supplement has been standardised to 5:1, meaning a single bottle of Aura weighs 36g and is equivalent to 180g of raw herbs (for example, if the recommended dosage is 3 tablets twice daily, this provides 3.6g which equates to 18g of raw herbs).
One bottle of Aura herbal supplement is between 7-9x more concentrated than other brands on the market.
All herbs used in the Aura supplement range have been extracted in either water or alcohol to achieve the purest and highest quality end product.
Each formula needs to be decocted differently (colours on the bottle), depending on the chemical components of each herb to produce an authentic product based on the traditional Chinese pharmacopoeia.
When should I expect to see results?
As the age old saying goes, good things come to those who wait!
With regular supplementation, you should start to see and feel results within 3 months, although this time frame may differ between individuals taking different daily dosages.
